Job summary

The Solutions Architect will be a technical resource for the Client Care team and also collaborate with other technical and operational teams. This position is responsible for assisting Client Care in nurturing existing clientele, developing new business opportunities, and identifying client need to maximize upselling opportunities. As needed, the Solutions Architect will also participate in consulting with clients to help them develop long-term technology strategies, focusing on efficiencies, advancement, and innovation.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Act as the technical resource for the Client Care team with expertise aligning business objectives with technical solutions
  • Assist in pre-sales activity with staff which may include meetings, quotes, SOWs, proposals, demos, proof-of-concept, etc.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the products and services ProviNET offers. Be able to make appropriate recommendations to prospects/clients
  • Participate in internal, and client-facing architecture and design sessions related to IT strategy
  • Complete on-site discoveries where the client’s needs are assessed and recommendations for IT advancements, operational efficiencies, remediation, and innovation are completed
  • Strategize with ProviNET management and offer suggestions on improving existing or creating new revenue streams with our products and services
  • Collaborate with the MSP team to improve and evolve the current program
  • Work with vendors to procure the best possible pricing and products for clients
  • Technical oversight and project management on specific projects as needed
  • Continued education in various areas of technology to remain a subject area expert on technologies that ProviNET sales and supports
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree or appropriate combination of education and work experience
  • 3-5 years experience working in IT consulting/MSP role
  • 3-5 years experience in a role supporting pre-sales/sales activities
  • Analytical skills including critical thinking, decision making, problem-solving
  • Diagnoses and correlates complex IT problems and develops remediation strategies
  • Project management skills including collaboration and teamwork, organizational skills, and managing clients’ expectations
  • Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal supervision
  • Effective written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet
  • Travel required as needed

Necessary Skills

  • Proven experience in concept and workflow of design, system installations/upgrades/migrations, deployment administration, and/or support of Microsoft Server technologies – Server, SQL, Exchange, etc. and business applications
  • Sales and design experience building and supporting cloud, hybrid, and on-premise infrastructure for business applications
  • Working knowledge and design experience with VMware and Hyper-V
  • Working knowledge and design experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365
  • Knowledge of MSP sales models and the supporting, common, vendor solutions in the MSP space
  • Working knowledge and design experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policy Management
  • Working knowledge and design experience with storage solution capabilities such as LUN and RAID management, SAN and NAS configuration, and storage networking
  • Working knowledge and design experience with TCP/IP networking fundamentals, network switch/route
  • Working knowledge and design experience with data backup, disaster recovery, replication, and failover solutions
  • Working knowledge and design experience with IT Cybersecurity fundamentals at the network and endpoint layers
