4 Things to look forward to in 2018

Happy New Year! We truly hope that 2018 is a healthy, happy and prosperous year for you – in fact – we want to help you make it that way!

I’m “jacked” (yes, I’ve been watching a lot re-runs of “Fixer Upper” on HGTV during my Christmas break) for 2018. ProviNET had a remarkable 2017, helping hundreds of customers and thousands of users make the most of their technology; but, I can’t wait for what is in store for 2018. In the words of Emeril, we’re kicking things up a notch. Here’s a sneak peak:

Cyber Security continues to be a really hot topic in IT. Particularly in senior living, post-acute healthcare and home and community based services. The information that providers store electronically continues to be some of the most valuable information on the black market.

We’re committed to security at ProviNET, and in 2018, we’re taking steps to not only provide the best security for our hosted customer’s data, but we’re also going to be very proactive about helping customers who choose to host their own information. We know that Cyber Security is a complex topic, but we’ve got really savvy strategies and some cutting edge tools to help organizations mitigate cyber security risks and improve protections over the data they maintain.

Telehealth continues to gain incredible momentum in the senior living, post-acute care and home and community based services markets. Giving individuals the ability to collect information about their health over time and plot that information on a chart gives caregivers far deeper insights into a persons wellness.

We’re really excited to be diving into these emerging telehealth technologies in 2018, and we can’t wait to share more about that with you very soon.

Business Intelligence – Every organization has a mountain of really useful information. Information that can be used to identify patterns, support decision making, and even make predictions. For our senior living and post-acute care customers, we know that Analytics, Business Intelligence, Dashboards and Reports are needed more than ever.

We’ve done substantial research in 2017, and we’re excited to unveil some incredible advancements in Analytics, Business Intelligence and Dashboards for 2018.

Virtual Care – There continue to be compelling case studies proving the benefits of virtual caregivers. This technology is even starting to make its way into our personal lives – as many insurance companies are offering apps to connect with physicians or nurse practitioners when their constituents aren’t feeling well. 

At ProviNET, we’re keeping a close ear to the ground to see what happens with Virtual Care. We’re already familiar with many of the vendors who offer this service, and we look forward to piloting this technology with a provider soon.
